<br />Case #18: Review Parcels For Tax Forfeit Sale: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilrnember Cox and seconded by Councilmernber Sorteberg to <br />table any action with respect to parcels for tax forfeit sale. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilrrembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />~..r. Hartley noted that Council's motion to table is in effect taking no <br />action as the Council does not meet again prior to the June 3 County Board <br />deadl ine. <br /> <br />Case #17: Airport (Continued): <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that Council was also to respond to a letter received <br />fran the Ramsey Action Committee. The Ramsey Action Committee has been <br />provided with a copy of a memo fran totr. P.artley to Mayor Reimann regarding <br />comments in that letter fram the P~sey Action Committee. <br /> <br />See below for further discussion. <br /> <br />Case #19: Traffic Signing On Chameleon Street N.W.: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that per a complaint received by Council on May 10, <br />Chief Auspos checked the area and feels there is sufficient speed zoning on <br />Chameleon. However, there d10uld be 'Caution-Playground' sign placed in <br />the area and near all city parks. <br /> <br />1-lotion by ~.aycr Reimann and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca authorizing <br />the placement of two 'Caution-Playground' signs near all City parks that <br />\dll be visible to both directions of traffic. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: 1-1ayor Reimann, Councilrrernbers Sorteberg, Cox <br />DeLuca and P.eimann. <br /> <br />Case n 7: Air::port (Continued): <br /> <br />Mr. David Chapman - 16042 Ramsey Blvd. - "There have been many public <br />hearings on the airport issue in the last two or three years. As is the <br />case where important issues imfact the community, where the decisions made <br />will become a vital part of the communi ty for several decades, emotions <br />play an important part in those decisions. It is vital that such an <br />important issue as the airport be made with the full knowledge of the long <br />term benefits or the long term regressive actions that will result. A man <br />by the name of Tom Reardon, whan I worked for and who later ran for U. S. <br />Senate once told me 'reasonable people, equally informed, seldom <br />disagreed'. I believe that and I am here this evening to ask that everyone <br />identifying themselves as reasor-.able people consider the following issues: <br />1) The city council (commissioners) are appointed and paid by the voters of <br />Ramsey to use their best judgement when making decisions. They are voted <br />in based on our perception of their judgement to establish rules, <br />regulations and to conduct city business.
