Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case {!I: <br /> <br />ReCluest forconditlon;<l u~e nermit to con~trllct an <br />electrical substation- C;lse of United PowerA~~oC'iat;ion <br /> <br />Mr. Merland Otto stated that United Power Association is requesting a <br />conditional use permit to construct en electrical substation on a 1.6 acre <br />parcel located North of City Hall and fronting on 153rdAvenue Northwest. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission has conducted a public hearing and nes <br />recommended adoption of the findings of fact and approval of the request <br />for a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Notion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Findings of Fact 0223 relating to United Power Association's request <br />to construct en electrical substation. <br /> <br />Further discussion. Councilmember DeLuca inquired as to the noise le'\"el of <br />this substation. Mr. Otto replied that some of members of thePlanni:l.g and <br />Zoning Commission visited a similar substation and could not detect any <br />noise level unless they were standing on the fence line of the substation. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
