<br />Chainman Greenberg noted that he was concerned with setting a precedent <br />regarding using tax increment financing for land costs for an apartment <br />project. Commissioner Ippel commented that if the numbers work and the <br />project meets the City's policy for TIF, he is in favor of using tax <br />increment financing for the project as requested. Cnair-man Greenberg and <br />Commissioner Vevea agreed with Commissioner Ippel. <br /> <br />Case #2: Discussion Regarding Prqvert~T Tax Reform Prqposals: <br /> <br />The Commissioners reviewed the Minneapolis Tribune article on property tax <br />reform dated March 1, 1988. Chairman Greenberg noted that Representative <br />Larsen is sending him information regarding property tax reform proposals; <br />the Legislature is concerned that there is not enough time to pass some <br />sort of property tax reform this session.
