Absent: Councilmembers Sorteberg and Cox. <br /> <br />Case #12.c: Municinal Amicus Pro~ram: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley explained that Ramsey has supported the Municipal Amicus <br />Program operated through the League of Cities and recommended renewing the <br />City's membership.. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca <br />authorizing an expenditure of $303.00 to renew Ramsey's membership in the <br />Amicus program. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Councilmembers Sorteberg and Cox. <br /> <br />Case #12.d: Fire Protection Contract For 1988: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated he has received f ire protection contracts from <br />Anoka/Champlin Fire Department and Elk River Fire Department. Mr. Hartley <br />noted that Anoka/Champlin is requesting a two year written notice of <br />cancellation on a one-year contract; this language sbould be repbrased; the <br />contracts ,,'ill come before Council at a future meeting. <br /> <br />Case #12.e: Dave Perkins/City of Ramsev Arbitration Case: <br /> <br />\ Mr. Hartley stated that tbe City has received notice of an intent to file <br />,,~ a case witb an arbitrator between the City of Ramsey and Dave Perkins <br />Contracting for payment of fees relating to tbe construction of River's <br />Bend Plaza. <br /> <br />Case #13: CORONA: <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson noted receipt of a request to enter into a joint <br />powers agreement for the CORONA project and a draft letter to Senator Dahl <br />encouraging legislation to allow for tbe establishment of sewer and water <br />taxing districts mucb like the storm sewer taxing districts. <br /> <br />Council directed city staff to review tbe joint powers agreement and draft <br />letter and report back to City Council on February 9. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />a) Meeting witb Minnesota Legislative Transportation Finance Study <br />Commission - <br /> <br />Y~yor Reimann requested that he and Mr. Hartley be registered to attend the <br />dinner and bearing witb tbe Minnesota Legislative Transportation Finance <br />Study Commission on February 3, 1988. <br /> <br />b) 1988 Board of Review and February 23rd Council Meeting - <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted tbat tbe Board of Review bas been scheduled for April 26. <br />City Council/January 26. 1988 <br /> <br />Page 12 of 13 <br />
