<br />Ramsey has been on the short end of the landfill program for too long and <br />if vertical expansion is going to be allowed, Ramsey should get something <br />out of it. Anoka is realizing ongoing benefits from the sale of the <br />landfill also and Ramsey should be receiving over and above what the other <br />city is getting. Possibly, there would be a way in which a cash escrow <br />could be provided to guarantee sane things for Ramsey. <br /> <br />Cotmcilmember DeLuca stated that he would like a response regarding whether <br />it is possible to write the agreement in such a way that the City would not <br />be prohibited fran having input on remedial action to make sure the city <br />will be able to provide for it's citizens. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich noted that Mr. Moersfelder has stated that he feels all issues <br />of concern raised this evening regarding the agreement could be worked out. <br /> <br />l>Dtion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to direct <br />City staff to meet with representatives of ~laste Management of Minnesota, <br />Inc. to review the proposed agreement for a ski hill to determine if it can <br />be amended to make it more pallatable with respect to concerns raised by <br />citizens, City Cotmcil and City Staff. <br /> <br />r-btion carried. Voting Yes: P..ayor Reimann, Councilnanbers DeLuca, Cox and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilrnember Sorteberg. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENl' <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmernber Pearson to <br />adjourn the special City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Pearson.
