CB~e #26: ~port From City Attorney: a) C~11agher vs. City of Rams~y - Mr. Goodrich reported that the Anoka County Courts dismissed Ms. Gallagher's civil rights lawsuit against the City. b) Ramsey Economic Developnent Conpany - y~. Goodrich reported that the Economic Development Company is having internal problems amongst the shareholders which has turned the Company into two factions. Mr. Goodrich stated that the City provides the Company \ldth support fran City Staff; noted that resolving Company issues could invol ve a good deal of staff time and requested Council direction. Council requested that City staff schedule a meeting between City Council and the Economic Development Company to discuss problem areas; in the interim, the City y,Till provide the Company with Staff services. C.?l~e #27: Discussion Regarding Letter From Ramsev Action Cornmi ttee: Mr. Hartley noted a letter fran the Ramsey Action Committee in which they request that the special issue of the Ramsey Resident Newsletter regarding the special election on April 19 include the proponent and opponent arguments regarding the airport zoning ordinance. Mr. Hartley stated that the request of the Action Committee conflicts with the editorial policy of the Newsletter. Mr. Hartley stated that he plans for the s.r:;ecial issue of the Newsletter to provide a y,Tay for interested .r:;ersons to hear both sides of the argument. If Council chooses to publish the proponent and opponent arguments, it should be via some publication other than the Ramsey Resident. City staff was directed to ir.form the Ramsey Action Committee that Council ras deter.mined that the special issue of the Ramsey Resident will not include proponent and opponent arguments but will provide a way for interested .r:;ersons to find out those arguments. 7<<;
