<br />5 Minutes <br /> <br />CAS E #1 7 : <br /> <br />NAME CHANGE OF THE RAMSEY LANDFILL BOARD <br />By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Ramsey Landfill Board is made up of representatives from Anoka County, City <br />of Anoka, and City of Ramsey. The purpose of the Board is to manage the <br />methane extraction project at the Anoka Regional Landfill. <br /> <br />At its last meeting the Ramsey Landfill Board approved a recommendation to the <br />three parties to the Joint Powers Agreement to change the name of the Ramsey <br />Landfill Board to the "Anoka Regional Landfill Board" to reflect the name of <br />the landf ill. <br /> <br />Enclosed is a copy of the proposed amendment. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />This name change is consistent with the desire of the City of Ramsey to remove <br />its name from association with solid waste types of activities.
