P1WCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE or MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular me'eting on Tuesday, November 24, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Milmesota. Members Present: Mayor Gary Reimann Councilmember Al Sorteberg Councilmember Al Pearson Councilmember Steve DeLuca Counc i1tl1~mber Arnie Cox Also Present: City Administrator David Hartley Finance Officer Noel Graczyk Community Development Director Anne Norris C i t Y A t tor n e y W ill i a m Goo d r i c h City Engineer Peter Raatikka CALL TO ORDER Mayor Reimann called the regular City Council meeting to order at 1:38 p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. CITIZEN IKPUT Ed Hamilton - 6615 Highway #10 N.W. - Presented copies of a letter (Attachment A to these minutes) from heane Lora Hamilton and Winslow and Corrine Holasek to City Council dated November 24, 1987 regarding right-of-way for MSA road south of Hwy. (:10. Mr. Hamilton proceeded to read the letter aloud. Mr. Hamilton then presented Council with copies of a letter to them from Wins:ow Eolasek ciated November 24, 1987 (Attachment B to tbese tinutes). Y~yc= Rei=enn stated that be bas been approacbe~ oy the public regarding tbe Council's intent to disbanc tbe police department and bas been informed that there is a petition being circulating to stop such action. Mayor Reimann stated that he his reply to these co~me~ts is tbat the City has taken no official ac~icn to disba~c the police department. Councilmetber Pearson stated that he has also received comments from the public regarding disbanding the police department. Councilmember Pearson stated tha~ his reply bas been tbat be kno~s of action being taken to disband tbe police department and the public can verify this information by calling City RaIL.
