Councilmember Cox stated that <br />there has been no decisicn by this Council to disband the police <br />department; there has been discussion of researching the option of <br />contracting with Anoka County for police protection. Counci1member Cox <br />stated that there must be a weak point somewhere causing the citizens to <br />press Council for this discussion and it's either a very strong union or 8 <br />lot of misconception; people voted into office have the right to review <br />options without being intimidated by those they are reviewing. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve the agenda with the following additions: <br /> <br />Case #6.A: Ken Miller well problem. <br /> <br />Case #11: Request for authorization to hire economic development <br />intern to complete Star City tasks. <br /> <br />Case #12: Recommendation from Economic Development Commission <br />regarding metro area resort site. <br /> <br />Case #13: Request for metes and bounds subdivision; case of North <br />Fork, Inc. <br /> <br />Case #14: Enforcement of building code regarding automatic sprinkler <br />sytems. <br /> <br />Case :fr15: <br /> <br />Establishment of November as Epilepsy Month. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca requested that Council be <br />provided with a copy of the most recent meeting minutes of the Solid Waste <br />Abatement Task Force. <br /> <br />Motion <br /> <br />carried.
