Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann. Councilmembers Sorteberg. Cox. <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Minin~ And <br />Exce,.yatin~ Ope~ations: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />introduce Ordinance 187-X amending Section 170.017 of the City Code <br />establishing performance standards for grading. mining and excavating <br />operations. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Reimann noted receiving written comments from <br />Mr. Art Raudio regarding the proposed amendment and requested that Council <br />be provided with a copy of those comments in their next agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case -*5: Consider- Cheni⬠T.o 1,Ends.capin~ Plans For Impr-ovement Pro~ect <br />#87-3 (River's Bend Plaza): <br /> <br />Mr. Dick Dreher, one of the developer's of River's Bend Plaza. was present <br />and stated that tenants of the plaza are concerned that tree planting by <br />the approved landscape plan limits visibility of the businesses from Hwy. <br />#47. Mr. Dreher requested Council approval for him to absorb the cost and <br />meet ~ith the landscape architect to replace the 3 trees ~ith a species <br />that will not obscure the view of business fronts. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Co~ncilmember Pearson approving <br />Mr. Dick Dreher's request to replace the 3 trees at the front of Rivers' <br />Bend Plaza with a variety that ..dll not obscure the view of businesses from <br />Ewy. #47; tbat the 3 trees removed are part of the tax increment portion or <br />the project and should be replanted elsewhere on the site; the replacement <br />species ~elected sbould be reviewed by City Council; all costs of tbe <br />landscape changes will be abscroed by the deve19pers of River's Bend Plaza. <br /> <br />Motion carr~ed. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann. Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox. <br />DeLuca and Pearson.
