<br />hr. Goodrich stated that the proposed ordinance establishes a conditional <br />use permit system for the keeping of wild animals. Mr. Goodrich stated <br />that contrary to comments in Mr. Rich2rd Edling's letter dated November 9, <br />1987, the ordinance does not ~ncourage the keeping of wild anirrals but <br />rather gives the City some control over those kinds of situbtions. <br /> <br />Council consensus was that there should be a 2.5 acre minimum requirement <br />for the keeping of wild animals and that euch conditionsl use permit <br />granted should include appropriate instructions for containing the animal <br />in the event it is found to be at large. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Ordinance ~B7-B amending Chapter 110 of the City Code establisbing <br />regulations for keeping wild animals. (Please refer to ordinance file for <br />Ordinance #B7-B). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson.
