Mayor Reimann stated that action can be taken to hire two additional officers as soon as the <br />step program is resolved to increase the time period for achieving top patrol pay from 3 <br />years to 4 years. <br /> <br />Chief Auspos stated that he is not opposed to the step program proposal but he is opposed <br />to tying the hiring of needed officers to it. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that Mr. Miles at the LELS is not available to meet until February 21 <br />regarding the step program.
