. :o:..,i',_>:>.~ ",<

}'~.'
J

Special Meeting
C/ July 8, 1976
Page 9

Councilwoman Oliphant saia'JJ/1.'fR'c1the ei~E;~tior1 of c), the others are nitpicking.
The landfillsi tuation she considers tremendousl y serios. Don ~ t know how
he bas beemwith negotiations on it but are there other items.

first ground work was laid, the Council
that.

the Park Commission the only meeting he has not
there reasons fOE it.

and try
my

~

hiake a number of the meetings, maybe

he did not. know tbe number of Park Board meetings Hr.
minutes could be dhecked.

is my understanding that he was at the last

. this was brought to his attention by the Park Board
and that he did not 'go to the other committeesllnd ask. He saUl if he could
'open enough they will come' !Jack to him if they have a problem in this

information was given to Council after the June 24th
It was' brought up after that meeting .

To clarify that, after we started having problems, the
Council designated that:weshould.have complete minutes kept on the
Personneltbmmittee meetings and this was flared up. And behind our backs,
it was shown to the employees and we decided that .if it was going to be that
big ofa deal, we said okay, we would not keep minutes,. This Personnel Committee
. was established for, the benefit of the people 'i'n thtfrcommunity and employees
to have these. meetings. At the June '21 Personnel Commi ttee meeting we
"discussed empl0ge~ commi ttee meetings, ordinances, referred to landfill
negotiations ,'but there are no minutes except for Councilman Reimann's notes
so I have to floby what he has wri tte~ down.

Councilman Reimann read his notes on the meeting.

Have you received complaints from the Building Committee.

said he had received no other complaint other

Mr.. Walker said. the report should say which meetings, otherwise, it makes
implications t:hat it could be other meetings. .

if he had missed Park Board meetings.

did admit this. Since the Park Committee was established
rtiissed only a couple meetings ,~pd then sent Tim as the

i.
voiced a complaint.--.. She said'h't1te main complaint of the Board
I,
is thf}t" Hr. Walker wasn't present at the meetings in their entirety. He left
early or showed up late. It made disorganization to the whole Park Board.
And, she wondered did this lack of interest by the City Administrator create
a lack of interest with Park Board members because no one is showi.ng" up at
meetings.

is that they have
meeting.
