AGENDA: Ramsey Council Personnel Committee TYPE OF MEETING: Regular Council Personnel Committee Meeting TIME/DATE: 7:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 7, 1983 LOCATION: Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota CALL TO ORDER CITIZEN INPUT APPROVAL OF AGENDA 1) 1984 Proposed Salary package of non-union employees: The following is hereby submitted on this case: a) Proposed Salary increases for 1984 - Enclosure (1) contains the following documents: 1) Page 1 of Enclosure (1) contains the proposed city salary ranges for 1984 using the Stanton Reports Metro Mean (average) as our mid- point which represents an employee doing a satisfactory job. 2) Page 2 of Enclosure (1) contains the following pertinent data: a) Column 1 through 3 contains standard data (position, employee name and present salary). It should be noted that Penny Curtis and Kathy Johnson are still in the step program so are receiving salaries as indicated. It should be further noted that the City Administrator, Building Official, Deputy Clerk, Chief of Police, and City Accountant are not receiving the salary shown but will commence receiving it in October, 1983. b) Columns 4 through 8 contain the Administrators recommendation Column #4 adjusts salaries to 1983 Stanton Report Metro Mean. Column #5 represents the estimated cost of living for 1984. It should be noted that the cost of living amount was obtained from the Chief Economists for the Minneapolis First Bank and the Norwest Bank. Summary: There are two positions that are below the Metro Mean and they are as follows: *Chief of Police - 83% of Metro Mean *Public Works Superintendent- 90% of Metro Mean **Light Equipment Operator - 77% of Metro Mean *Administrator - 81% of Metro Mean
