AGENDA: Ramsey Council Personnel Committee <br /> <br />TYPE OF MEETING: Regular Council Personnel Committee Meeting <br /> <br />TIME/DATE: 7:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 7, 1983 <br /> <br />LOCATION: Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />1) 1984 Proposed Salary package of non-union employees: <br /> <br />The following is hereby submitted on this case: <br /> <br />a) Proposed Salary increases for 1984 - Enclosure (1) contains the <br />following documents: <br /> <br />1) Page 1 of Enclosure (1) contains the proposed city salary ranges <br />for 1984 using the Stanton Reports Metro Mean (average) as our mid- <br />point which represents an employee doing a satisfactory job. <br /> <br />2) Page 2 of Enclosure (1) contains the following pertinent data: <br /> <br />a) Column 1 through 3 contains standard data (position, employee <br />name and present salary). It should be noted that Penny Curtis <br />and Kathy Johnson are still in the step program so are receiving <br />salaries as indicated. It should be further noted that the City <br />Administrator, Building Official, Deputy Clerk, Chief of Police, <br />and City Accountant are not receiving the salary shown but will <br />commence receiving it in October, 1983. <br /> <br />b) Columns 4 through 8 contain the Administrators recommendation <br />Column #4 adjusts salaries to 1983 Stanton Report Metro Mean. <br />Column #5 represents the estimated cost of living for 1984. It <br />should be noted that the cost of living amount was obtained from <br />the Chief Economists for the Minneapolis First Bank and the <br />Norwest Bank. <br /> <br />Summary: There are two positions that are below the Metro Mean and they <br />are as follows: <br /> <br /> *Chief of Police - 83% of Metro Mean <br /> *Public Works Superintendent- 90% of Metro Mean <br />**Light Equipment Operator - 77% of Metro Mean <br /> *Administrator - 81% of Metro Mean <br /> <br /> <br />
