Building Inspector/Plans Examiner Salary: $38.26-$47.82 Hourly Closing Date: Open Until Filed The primary objectives of this position: to maintain the integrity and safety of our community's infrastructure. This division includes a Building Official, two Building Inspectors/Plans Examiners, contracted inspectors, and administrative support staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work atmosphere. Experience is preferred but not required, we welcome candidates eager to learn and grow in this field. Starting pay will be based on experience and qualifications. The selected candidate will work closely with the Building Official to ensure compliance with all applicable portions of the Minnesota Building Code and City Code for both new and existing residential, commercial and industrial developments. The 2025 salary range for this position is: Step 1: $38.258 - Step 2: $40.170 - Step 3: $42.083 - Step 4: $43.996 - Step 5: $45.909 - Step 6: $47.822 Community Service Officer Salary: $23.74 Hourly Closing Date: May 4, 2025 The primary objectives of this position: to perform a variety of non -sworn law enforcement support duties for the Ramsey Police Department. This position provides cost- effective public safety and superior customer service while performing regularly scheduled community service work. It also assists with high priority unanticipated calls for service, and with public protection and crime prevention. Conditions of Employment: This internship is limited to no more than five years, or one-year POST eligibility, whichever comes first. This is a 25-hour per week AFSCME union, uniformed, non -sworn paid and benefit eligible internship. The position is covered by Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) and ancillary benefits are available. The position does not include health, dental and life insurance benefits. This position offers pro -rated vacation, ESST/sick and holiday pay, which begins on day one! Two (2) Police Officers Salary: $37.786 - $48.443 Hourly Closing Date: Open Until Filed The primary objectives of this position: to maintain order, keeping the peace and responding to citizen's needs by discouraging crimes through high -visibility policing, investigative capability and the subsequent reporting and apprehension of suspected violators of the law. The position reports to the Police Sergeant. Successful applicants must have at least an associates degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or equivalent qualifications meeting the state of Minnesota's requirements to become an Officer. The 2025 salary range per hour for this position is: $37.786 to $48.443. The 2025 longevity range per hour for this position is: After 5: $49.412 - After 8: $50.381 - After 12: $51.350 - After 16: $52.318. This is a full-time LELS Patrol union position. Water Resources Technician Salary: $36.18 - $39.80 Hourly Closing Date: April 27, 2025 The primary objectives of this position: to support the effective management, protection and enhancement of the City's water resources in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. This position plays a key role in administering the City's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) program, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP) and Surface Water Management Plan (SWMP), while also contributing to related water resource initiatives. The role requires technical expertise, a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks, strong analytical and communication skills and a commitment to public engagement. Collaboration with internal departments, external agencies and community stakeholders is essential to achieving the City's water resource objectives. This is an AFSCME Union Position working 40 hours per week.
