There will <br />be a raffle for a side of beef and a bike. Tickets are being sold at the <br />present time. The side of beef is being donated by Ron Jerich and the <br />bicycle by Mayor Arnold Cox. <br /> <br />Reports: <br />Street Department. <br />Administrative Assistant Walker reported that the Street Department is grading <br />roads, repairing culverts, doing shop work and have taken off all snow removal <br />equipment and stored it for the summer. <br /> <br />Park Department. <br />Administrative Assistant Walker read Park Coordinator Paquette's report. <br />He has cleaned up park areas, painted and maintained park equipment, <br />repaired damage from wind to the hockey rink and is working on City name <br />signs. <br /> <br />Building Committee. <br />Plans for the municipal building were presented to the building committee <br />by Cerney & Associates. A bonding program and cost analysis was presented <br />to the committee by Larry Shaughnessy of Shaughnessey & Co. <br /> <br />Consulting Engineers Diversified is preparing plans & specs for the completion <br />of the streets in the Hall Dover Acres. The bonding company will be contacted <br />and the City will complete the job under the performance bond. <br /> <br />('.~J <br />,i' I <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mrs. Carol Felix requests a home occupancy, beauty salon, at 18031 Uranium. <br />Clerk Walker to look at the location for parking and Councilman Reimann indicated that <br />Mr. Walker should take a close look at the septic system and ascertain if it is adequate <br />before granting the permit. <br /> <br />A petition from citizens adjacent to Waco Street N.. and Xkimo Street N.W. connecting <br />to 153rd Street to blacktop the two streets 'was presented. The City Engineer <br />is to ascertain the cost and at -the next Council meeting the people will be <br />informed of the cost (estimated) to complete the project. No action at this <br />time on the petition. <br /> <br />Kennel license request. Mr. and Mrs. Ed T~urston appeared before the Council <br />for a kennel license. No action at this time. Th~y were referred to the <br />Planning & Zoning Commission for their action. <br /> <br />Request for mobile home occupancy. Mr. Terry L. Luke requested a permit to <br />move a mobile home on his property while he is constructing his new home. <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to authorize Clerk-Treasurer Walker <br />to issue Terry L. Luke a temporary mobile home occupancy permit according <br />to the City ordinance. <br /> <br />Carried 5 to 0 <br /> <br />A request for a sign on Highway 47 by Lakeview Furniture of Burns Township <br />was referred to the Board of Adjustment. No action. <br />
