Motion by Gorham, seconded by Mickelson to approve <br />the Agenda. <br />Carri ed 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich made a recommendation that,a public hearing be held on the. <br />interium ordinance. The attorney then read the ordinance. A discussion was <br />he 1 d on the ordi nance. ( <br /> <br />Motion by R~imann, seconded by Mickelson to holda public hearing on April 27, <br />1976, at 7:30 p.m., at the Ramsey Elementary ScHool in Ramsey to hear interested <br />people on the interium ordinance and there will be a special Council meeting <br />after the public hearing. <br /> <br />Carri ed 5 to 0 <br /> <br />The Council agreed to pay for the nine (9) abstract costs for the perpetual <br />easements for the 153rd Street Construction Project. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich briefed the Council on the lawsuits and estimated the cost <br />to the City of $5,000.00 as of this date and that the suit by Mrs. Nelson <br />should be finalized by the 1st day of June. The Attorney is also requesting the <br />State Attorney General's opinion on a meeting of the involved Councilmen in <br />a closed session with him under the Attorney-Client relationship. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox discussed the suit and his involvement in it and also it was <br />discussed whether Mr. Bernie Steffen should be payed for his involvement. <br />No action at this time. <br /> <br />Approval of the minutes of the March 22nd regular meeting. Mayor <br />Cox indicated that he would like to have a copy of the minutes as soon as <br />possible after the meeting. <br /> <br />A discussion was held as to who seconded a particular motion, no action <br />was taken because it was determined that the motion was seconded simultaneously. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Gorham to approve the minutes. <br /> <br />Carri ed 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Letters & Communications <br /> <br />Letter from the County on the Bi centenni a 1. read and noted. <br />Clerk-Treasurer Walker to write to the County pertaining to it. <br /> <br />Notice on the Municipal League Conve'ntion, read and noted. <br /> <br />Letter on the sale of the new handbook for municipalties, read and Walker to <br />ascertain prices. ' <br /> <br />Letter from the Governor's office on the annua.l fire school for city firemen <br />read by Mayor Cox and noted. <br /> <br />Letter from the County on joint computor service read by Mayor Cox. Clerk <br />Walker is to further research this item. <br />
