He"' said he could not accept these minutes because the Chair <br />statements are very important on preventing the Oliphant's from carrying further <br />lawsuits and therefore they should have been documented. <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Reimann to table acceptance of the minutes <br />of.the special hearing February 9,1976, until the next regular Council <br />Carried 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes of February 9, 1976, regular meeting. Motion <br />seconded by Oliphant to accept the minutes of the regular Council <br />February 9, 1976, as presented. <br />Carri ed 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Petitions and Communications. Mr. Walker presented the following. <br />for change in office hours to 8 :00 a .m. to 4 :30 p.m. Councilman <br />the present hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m~ allow more time for <br />a distance away a chance to stop at the office. All were in favor of retaining present ,hours. <br /> <br />Letter from North Centra~ Public Service regarding increases in gas capacities. <br /> <br />Letter on Urban Planning from citizens. Mayor Cox said to be sureplanneJ:'sget <br />a chance to review these letters. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich announced the Planning Commission meeting t()b~ held on <br />Wednesday, February 25, 1976, at Ramsey Elementary School on Urban Planning. <br />Council and public are urged to attend. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox presented the following: Letter from Governor Anderson on a program <br />in regard to spring flooding to be held on March 10, 1976 ,at 8 :00 a.m.fat <br />the Hopkins House. Mayor Cox reported on meetings he haq at~ended, t/:J~Leaguf! <br />of Minnesota Municipali ties on Local Government Legislati ve Conrerence<'!i.luJ Senate <br />subcommittee on redistricting bill. <br /> <br />Reports: <br />Building Inspector & Assessor <br />Mr. Walker read the building and assessing department report. <br />Mr. Casper asked Council if they desired him to appear at a; <br />the assessment procedure. Mayor Cox fel tit would be <br />Council and the public so the people can understand what has been <br />to assessing. Mr. Casper is to attend the next Council meeting for <br /> <br />Mr. Walker presented a recommendation for a pay raise for Mr. ,Caspe:t;'. <br />matter is to be presented ~t the next personnel committee meeting. <br /> <br />Pub1i c Safety <br />Mr. Walker read the Public Safety Report for January. <br /> <br />New Business, Item No.8, County Law Enforcement, was taken up at this time <br />for input by Chief Auspos. Chief Auspos stated it would be advantageous and <br />useful for Ramsey to have input into this organization. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked for Council's consensus, all were in favor. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox directed Mr. Walker to send a letter requesting input into the Council <br />on Joint Law Enforcement. <br /> <br />Street Department Report <br />Mr. Walker read the February Street Department Report. ~ <br /> <br />Park & Recreation Report <br />Mr. Walker read the Park and Recreation Report.
