Carried 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Purchase of Landfill. Mr. Walker reported on a meeting wi th Anoka Ci -ty Manager <br />concerning this ma-tter. He has no-thing in wri-ting at this time. Discussion held. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox read a letter from Waste Management in regard to the Landfill. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker said he has made arrangements with the gas qompany to take readings <br />in homes. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker is to ob-tain a writ-ten proposal from the City of Anoka which will <br />be reviewed by the Cdimc:i.l, attorney and Mr. Walker before presentation to <br />the citizens of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham sugges-ted Mayor Cox be -the Council's represen-ta-tive to <br />the proposal. <br /> <br />1976 Road Priorities. Discussion held. Road work is to be <br />2" of class five gravel over Riverwood Hills, Country Park, <br />Ramsey Boulevard, Halls l60th,Halls l59th and Variolite. <br /> <br />Bids on squad car. <br />Charles H. Adams <br />to purchase the automobile at $600.00. <br />Carri ed 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Personnel Commi ttee Report <br />Councilman Gorham reported on-the Personnel Committee meeting with Mr. Walker. <br />Gerneral review and discussion of employees was held at the meeting. Permanent <br />employment status and discussion on contract and duties of Mr. Walker's position <br />as Administrative Assistant/Clerk-Treasurer held. <br /> <br />The Personnel Commi ttee presented a recommenda tion on Mr. Walker pertaining <br />to his permanent employment status. The Commi ttee recommends f:ha t · Mr. Walker <br />use the title of Adminis-trative Assistant instead of Clerk-Treasurer. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich stated that the terminOlogy should be that he be considered <br />as Clerk-Treasurer or Administrative Assistant with duties of Clerk-Treasurer. <br />He said Council may in t:he fut:ure want to separate Clerk7Treasure:i:-but will <br />always want an Administrative Assistant. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked Mr. Walker if he agreed to the six month extension of his <br />probation period. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker said he would accept it, but did not agree. <br /> <br />('"it: <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich said his understanding is that Mr. Walker's salary would be <br />$16,500 as of March 1, 1976, notwithstanding the contract. <br /> <br />ZL <br />
