Councilman Gorham said this is correct and that the minutes when Mr. Walker <br />was hired stated that at the end of his six-month probation period he would <br />get $16,500. <br /> <br />Motion by Mickelson, secqn~led by Reimann to accept the Personnel Commi ttee <br />recommendation report datec'{'February 23, 1976. <br />Carried 5 to 0 <br />" <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked if Mr. Walker would agree to sign the: report . Mr. Walker did <br />sign the report. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich commented regarding Mr. Walker's contract. His op~n~on is <br />that the ordinance should refer tQ: responsibili ties of Adm. Assistant and <br />this language should be added to the ordinance. It is contemplated concurrent <br />with Mr. Walker's term that he also be appointed Clerk-Treasurer. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich read the contract. He said the contract is premature at <br />this time because Mr. Walker's probation period is not over. Probation time <br />will count toward vacation time. <br /> <br />The ordinance on Clerk-Treasurer was tabled because it has to be rewritten. <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham spoke concerning seminars for Mr. Walker to attend. <br />He feels it is good for employees and Mr. Walker should be authori~ed to <br />attend these. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, s~con.ded by Gorham for Mr. Walker to attend the Conference <br />for Clerks and Finance Officers at the Marriott Inn in Bloomington on March <br />10-12, and the Minneapolis Intermediate Bookkeeping Workshop at the University <br />of Minnesota on February 26 and 27. " <br />Carried 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Future Library Facility <br />Discussion held. Mayor Cox directed Mr. Walker to send a letter to the <br />to find out what their plans are and if funds are available for library <br /> <br />Fringe Benefi ts For Employees <br />This was tabled until Mr. Walker meets with the, Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Appointments Expiring <br />Mayor Cox said the Planning & Zoning Commission should make recommendations <br />on whether these members should remain or are to be replaced. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission Resolution. <br />No action. <br /> <br />Proposal on Radios - base station with mobile units <br />No action. <br /> <br />Bills for Approval <br />Councilman Reimann instructed Mr. Walker to use UPS whenever possible rather <br />than to go to pick up supplies in person. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to approve the bills as listed. <br />Carried 5' to 0 <br /> <br />Motion by Mickelson, seconded by Reimann to adjourn. <br />Carried 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Adjournment - 10:52 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Donald E.
