" PLANNING & ZONING COMMIS SION MEETING CITY OF RAMSEY May 5, 1975 Present: Absent: Allen Sorteberg, 'Chairman Robert Fossum Tom Gamec William Pittman Gerald Zimmennan Dennis Klohs William Goodrich, Attorney Bradley Bodle The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sorteberg at 7:30 P.M. The Chairman called for additions or corrections to the minutes of the previous meeting. There were none. Mr. Fossum made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Mr. Pittman seconded the motion. The motion was carried unanimous ly. Lynn Clark was on the agenda for a Day Care Center located at 15328 Hematite Street N.\v. She was not present. Mrs. Wurm, Mrs. Mosby and Mrs. Haugtvedt were present in regard to the property located at 15328 Hematite Street N.W. Mrs. Wurm. said they had a petition to present to the Council opposing the property being used as a church. She gave some of the reasons a s the house being a one thmily dwelling, a parking problem, a fire problem and said they had 82 names on the list. She mentioned that several cars were bringing in lumber to this address. Attorney William Goodrich spoke in regard to foster care and read the State Ordinance on it. He said if they want a residence for five or less children as a fosterftunily home it is permitted, however, the ordinance will not permit more than this number. A church is pemitted, however, he thought a building built for a church. Mrs. Wurm suggested the ordinance should protect the people of this area and said they had a meeting last Thursday. She said the building inspector drove by h~r house today and did not stop to talk to them. Mr. Pittman ::aid there was no building permit issued today. Attorney Goodrich said to pass on it qntil Mrs. Clark comes in. Terrance Sonneman, 7940 - 152 Lane N.W., was on the agenda in regard to a water problem. Mr. Sonneman was not present. Mr. Cable and Mr. Runyon were present in regard to rezoning the porner of Industry and Highway #47. They told the members of the commission they were interested in a supermarket and a shopping a rea. They thought we were losing much revenue to the City of Anoka. The SuperValue is getting $85,000.00 from Ramsey County each week. They stated the Penney store is int erested in coming in here.
