<br />\, <br /> <br />~.~~-, <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.:..-,~==-- <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY PLANNING & ONING COMMISSION <br />July 7, 1975 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. <br />Sorteberg. Present wer~ Mr. Pittman, Mr. Gamec, Mr. Klops, Mr. <br />Bodle and Mr. Zimmerman. Mr. Fricke was also present. <br /> <br />Mr. Gamec maed the minute~ of the last stated meeting be approved <br />as mailed. Seconded by Mr. Pittman. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Cable & Mr. Runyon: They presented the plan for a grocery <br />store for their land at I~dustry and Highway #47. Discu~sion on <br />the tentative location of a road across this area to a fMture <br />bridge crossing the Rum River~ Mr. Fricke thinks this rpad plan <br />could be ready for Council action by the next meeting. it was <br />suggested we wait until the n~xt meeting to see what decisions <br />are made on the area from l53rd Ave. to I~dustry Ave. <br /> <br />Riverside West: Mr. Al B~lliQk was present with the plat for this <br />area showing the res.idential in the southern part of the plat and <br />the ,commercial in the northerq part. The changes made are in accord <br />with the discussions at the p~blic hearing between the r~l section <br />and the b-2 section and the r~duction of river front lot~ from 5 <br />to 4. In the size of the lot~, he exceeds the ordinance all the <br />way. Mr. Gamec moved we accept the sketch plan as presehted of <br />Riverside West plat because it has been changed to conform to our <br />comprehensive plan, existing ~oning and our subdivision ordinance. <br />Seconded by Mr. Zimmerman. Mqtion carried unanimously. : <br /> <br />A public hearing for Rivensid~ West Plat will be held before the <br />next regular meeting on August 4, 1975 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Carson-Holm Plat: Mr. Carson said he had received a letter from <br />the Highway Department stating they would not get highway entrance <br />approval at this time due to ~he state of flux on the area along <br />Highway 47 and Industry Blvd. Mr. Carson brought a plat-map which <br />had been redone showing the wqoded areas. Mr. Carson st{1ted that <br />if this sketch plan is accept~d, they would not have to rave an- <br />other public hearing because they have already had this, according <br />to their legal council. This sketch plan has 26 lots. rhe plat <br />would have to be brought in before the Council on rezoni~g. Mr. <br />Fricke feels we should review the existing zoning. Discussion on <br />the location of the entrances from this plat to Industry Blvd. <br />Mr. Carson is requesting rezoning from industrial to res~dential. <br /> <br />~tr. Bodle moved to ap?rove the sketch plan dated July 2, 1975 <br />amended as follows: (1) Delete the easterly road intersection, <br />Fluorine St., with Industry Blvd. and connect Fluorine St. to <br />Germanium St. approximately 400 feet north of Industry Blvd; (2) <br />Provide a 66 foot easement to the proposed green area on 'extension <br />of the centerline of Germanium Street; (3) Enlarge greeq area to <br />make one continuous area; (4) provide pedestrian access to the <br />easterly edge of green area by a 20 foot wide park dedication; <br />and (5) provide 3-5 foot wlde paved pathways on the ease~ent de- <br />scribed and on the 20 foot par~ dedication and recommend the <br />following amendment to the zoning ordinance: (1) Change the qreas <br />designated as lots on the ~ket~h plan to r-l from c-l an~ i-I and <br />(2) Change a 300 foot wid~ strip adjacent to the proposed r-l <br />
