David Hexom: He wants to have an overnight camp ground; at Lake Itasca. He has leased 1200 ~cres, 700 of which are to ~e u~ed for crop land and the rest for overnight camping and in the winter time for snowmobiling. One of th~ir requirements are that the o~ter perimeter fences must be hog tight. There is electrici~y by the lake. This area would hold ~50 camp sites. He has a s~x y~ar lease. This project will require a conditional use pe~t. They are going to restore the fa~ house. Mr. Fricke sugges~ed ~hat Mr. Hexom go to the Departme~t of Natural resources bef9re pe does anything else about this pl~. Discussion on barbed wire fencing on residential homes ~n platted areas. Consensus is that no barbed wire fencing can be used where the primary use of the lapd is residential. Mr. Gamec ~oved we recommend the Counci~p~ss ~ ordinance to this effect.
