INTRODUCTION: The City of Ramsey (City) is requesting proposals for the delivery of seven (7) geotechnical reports <br />for 2026 projects including; <br />1. IP 26-01 MSA Bunker Lake Boulevard Reconstruction <br />a. Bunker Lake Blvd between Jackal St and Armstrong Blvd (CSAH 83) <br />b. Project is approximately 0.47 miles in total length; ADT 714; Speed Limit 40 mph <br />i. 28-feet wide, no existing parking lanes <br />ii. Municipal sewer and water exist <br />c. Scope of work includes: <br />i. Seven (7) soil borings to a depth of 12-feet per the attached exhibit <br />1. SB's on either side of median within 100 feet of Armstrong Blvd <br />ii. Seven (7) pavement cores <br />iii. Two (2) soil borings to a depth of 6-feet per the attached exhibit <br />1. 6 to 10-feet south of existing pavement in ditch <br />iv. A standard geotechnical report including construction feasibility for public utilities and pavement <br />section <br />1. MSA Road requires 10-ton pavement design <br />a. Typically, City would do an FDR on this type of road <br />b. Project will likely include converting to shared center lane, with additional EB lane <br />added south of existing pavement <br />2. Logs of soil borings with descriptions of nomenclature used for defining the site soils <br />3. Estimated subgrade support strength parameters for design of the bituminous roadway and <br />recommendations for soil corrections; Design R-Value estimate <br />4. Recommendations for earthwork associated with installation of utilities <br />5. Recommendations for management of groundwater for design of structures and pavements <br />2. IP 26-02 2026 MSA Overlay Improvements <br />a. 173rd Avenue between Puma Street and Iguana Street <br />b. Project area is approximately 0.48 miles in length; ADT 928; Speed Limit 55 mph <br />i. 31-feet wide rural, minimal shoulders <br />ii. No municipal utilities exist or are proposed <br />1. Crossing culvert at county ditch proposed <br />c. Scope of work includes: <br />i. Ten (10) soil borings to a depth of 10-feet per the attached exhibit <br />ii. Ten (10) pavement cores <br />iii. A standard geotechnical report including construction feasibility for pavement section and soil <br />corrections <br />1. MSA Road requires 10-ton pavement design <br />a. Project will ikely include soil corrections <br />2. Logs of soil borings with descriptions of nomenclature used for defining the site soils <br />3. Estimated subgrade support strength parameters for design of the bituminous roadway and <br />recommendations for soil corrections; Design R-Value estimate <br />4.
