5. 4. <br />CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: <br />05/27/2025 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Strive for high organizational morale and employee retention <br />Title: <br />Authorization to Hire a Planning Division Administrative Assistant <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to authorize filling the vacant Administrative Assistant position. In order to fill the <br />vacant position, a recruitment was conducted. Staff conducted the necessary pre -employment background checks <br />and recommends Kaokalia Lor for the position. Ms. Lor will be subject to the terms of the City's Personnel <br />Policy and AFSCME union contract, including a six-month probationary period. <br />The Administrative Assistant position provides a variety of responsible administrative support functions for the <br />Community Development Department, especially the Planning Division.
