Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />Bidder <br />Team Earthworks Inc. <br />Veit Company <br />North Pines Aggregate <br />Belair Excavating <br />Rachel Contracting <br />Landwehr Construction <br />Meyer Contracting <br />RESOLUTION #06- 11 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE <br />EXCAVATION OF CONTAMINATED SOIL AT THE FORMER ST PAUL TERMINAL <br />PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and the <br />advertisement for bids for the above - referenced work on September 26, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the excavation of contaminated <br />soil , bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on November 8, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received for the excavation of contaminated soil of <br />the former St. Paul Terminal: <br />Bid <br />$177,672.00 <br />$193,342.00 <br />$203,724.00 <br />$218,400.00 <br />$219,131.00 <br />$221,980.00 <br />$257,962.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, Team Earthworks is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Team Earthworks in the name of the City of Ramsey for the excavation of <br />contaminated soil on the former St. Paul Terminal property in the amount of $177,672.00. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />RESOLUTION #06- 11 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
