Request for variance from required side yard setback; case of Keith and <br />Barbara Rakos. <br /> <br />2. Request for variance from Section 170.076 of the Ramsey City Code to <br />encroach on the required setback from the Rum River; case of Mr. Dean <br />Hanson. <br /> <br />Chairman Shumway called the regular meeting back to order at 6:54 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to approve <br />the following: <br /> <br />1. Board of Adjustment public hearing minutes dated May 25, 1988 regarding <br />Ken and Sandy VoId's request for a variance. <br /> <br />2. Board of Adjustment public hearing minutes dated May 25, 1988 regarding <br />Gerald Ackerman's request for a variance. <br /> <br />3. Board of Adjustment regular meeting minutes dated May 25, 1988. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Shumway, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Terry and LaDue. Voting No: None. Abstain: Commissioner Howell. <br />Absent: Commissioners Holm and Hendriksen. <br /> <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request For Variance From Section 170.016B Of The Ramsey City <br />Code To Encroach On The Required Side Yard Setback; Case Of <br />Keith And Barbara Rakos: <br /> <br />Keith and Barbara Rakos were present requesting a variance to construct a <br />12'x32' deck on the west side of their lot at 5359 142nd Circle N.W. which <br />will encroach on the side yard setback by approximately 12 feet. <br /> <br />The Board amended the proposed findings of fact as follows: <br /> <br />Item #9 should indicate that the applicants are requesting to encroach <br />the side yard setback by approximately 12 feet. <br /> <br />Item #10 should indicate that the applicants are proposing a side yard <br />of approximately 8 feet. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to <br />delete Item #13 (That the special conditions, namely that the lot is a <br />corner lot, do not result from the actions of the Applicants.) from the <br />proposed findings of fact. <br /> <br />Board of Adjustment/July 7, 1988 <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
