@

Albert: You have no idea when they open. So that if they were open after 8:30 like at
9:30 or 10:00, then in the morning there would be no hazard. Right?

.

Reif: Right.
Albert: And if they...

Reif: No, excuse me, there would be a hazard for those children who are sneaking over.

Albert: That are sneaking over~ Well, that happens everywhere that the school rests.
Is that right?

Reif: No, sir, it doesn't.

Albert: It doesn'tt

Reif: It doesn't happen any place at a school as if its where there is nothing there.
There's no reason to go over there.

Albert: I see. You don't have children then that go over to play in the house that's
being built?

Reif: No

Albert: You haven't had that experience?

Reif: Not yet

Albert: Or just to play in a sand hill?

. Reif: We have 55 acreas of sand.

LAUGHTER

Al: They cross the street sometimes, even when there is nothing on the other side.
Right?

Reif: Children do that.

Albert: Thank you. That's all.

Oliphant: I want to ask that this document and letter by Superintendent Johnson to
11r. Cox be introduced as an item of evidence at this meeting.

Albert: This is a letter from where?

01: From Superintendent Johnson to Mr. Cox.

~odrich: Mr. Chairman, one other ground rule occurs to me. I would recommend that all
witnesses be available for retestifying if the Board feels it is necessary.

Gorham: At a later date or at a later time this evening?

Goodrich: Tonight or whenever the Board may want them to testify. I assume that
they won't want anything tonight, but they may want it at a future date when they
reconsider.

.

01: Can I read the letter, Mr. Ch~rman?
This letter is dated April 10, 197~ and it is to Mr. Arnie Cox.:

Albert: Excuse me just a moment. I want a special objection on this on the basis that
the witness who wrote this letter is not here and I have no opportunity to cross-
examine hime when he is not being here.
