Mr. Thurston noted that Mr. Praske has requested <br />that the County review his case and that will be done in the near future. <br />Mr. praske should be present at the County Board of Review set for July 12, <br />1984 at 1:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #6: Carol Sullivan - 16620 Dolomite - PIN RIO-32-25-43-0003: <br /> <br />Ms. Sullivan stated that they built the home in 1980 and the value has <br />remained around $91,000-$92,000. They tried to sell their home in 1984 and <br />were offered $80,000. The market value has increased $3200 since last year. <br />Ms. Sullivan presented a chart put out by the Board of Realtors that said <br />the average 1983 selling price of homes in Ramesey is $61,000. <br /> <br />Mr. Wirz stated that the chart contains very false information. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated there has been a change in the type of home being built <br />in Ramsey which in turn has dropped the average selling price of homes in <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />Ms. Sullivan inquired as to what is considered a full bath. <br /> <br />Mr. Wirz replied that it would be a bath with 3 fixtures -- bath and/or shower, <br />vanity and stool. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Case #7: Joe Galindo - 15645 Traprock - PIN R21-32-25-12-0005: <br /> <br />Mr. Galindo stated he complaint deals with the bottom line in property tax <br />he has to pay -- $1850 after homestead credits. Mr. Galindo referred to <br />an article .in the Minneapolis Star and. Tribune which quoted an average <br />property tax of $607 for Ramsey residents. <br /> <br />Mr. Wirz stated that Mr. Galindo's 1,694 square foot home is located on 4 <br />acres. <br /> <br />Mr. Galindo stateq that he is being assessed for sealcoating and this added <br />to the cost of his property taxes is just too much for the services ,you <br />receive in Ramsey. Mr. Galindo inquired why property taxes in the City of <br />Anoka are less than in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Wirz replied that Anoka has a much larger tax base because they have <br />more commercial property. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle explained local government aids to Mr. Galindo and pointed out <br />that Ramsey will be getting it's fair share in the future. <br /> <br />Case #8: Sylvia Carter - Carter Valley - PIN R02-32-25-44-0003: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ms. Carter stated that a piece of her property has been reclassified residential <br />and the market value more than doubled.
