<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CASE #2: <br /> <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING JOINT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION - PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING <br />By: Anne Norris, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the joint Economic Development Commission and Planning and Zoning Commission <br />meeting, the Planning Commission requested that the EDC create their idea of <br />ideal develClpment of Highway 10 for presentation and discussion at the next <br />joint EDC-Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />In addition, the Commission agreed to come up with a hypothetical proposal for <br />a development in the commercial/industrial area to present to the Planning <br />Commission for their review at the next joint Commission meeting. <br /> <br />For your information, enclosed are the following excerpts from the City Code <br />regarding permitted uses and development requirements: <br /> <br />1) Section l70.013D(2) - Permitted uses in the B-1 Business District; <br />2) Section 170.013D(3) - Permitted uses in the 1-1 Industrial District; <br />3) Section 170.014K, Subd. 5 - Building Design and Construction; <br />4) Section 170.014H - Screening; <br />5) Chapter 110.19 - Condition of Premises; and <br />6) Section 170.017L - Site Plan Review. <br /> <br />The subcommittee of the EDC and Planning Commission are scheduled to meet on <br />August 11 to discuss development restrictions and performance standards for all <br />development within the City's industrial and commercial areas. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Will be based on your discussion. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director -X- <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Other <br />
