Special City Council meeting minutes dated May 14, 1986.

2. Regular City Council meeting minutes dated May 27,1986.

The Commissioners inquired about a new building inspector. City Administrator
Hartley stated that Mr. Elvin Erickson, currently with White Bear Lake, had
been hired for the Building Official position. Mr. Erickson is currently a
Class I certified inspector; he will be eligible for Class II certification in
the near future. Commission Wagner asked whether Mr. Erickson would be doing
only building inspection or community service officer functions as well. City
Administrator Hartley replied that Mr. Erickson would be doing code enforcement
of all types - not just building code.

Commissioner Ippel asked what the Personnel Committee's response was to the
recommendation that the City hire 2 people. City Administrator Hartley stated
that this recommendation was brought to the Personnel Commission and discussed.

Commissioner Ippel noted that the City Council requested further information
from the EDC regarding the responsibilities/direction of the landfill
commission and that the Commission should add this item to the agenda for
further discussion.

COMMISSION BUSINESS

Case #1:Subcommittee Reports:

a.
