<br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel stated that he has seen videos of other communities and was <br />impressed with Anoka's, which was produced by Slide Shows, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Brock attempted to show Anoka's video to the Commission but the City's <br />video machine was not functioning properly. In the meantime, the Commission <br />proceeded to address other cases on the agenda. <br /> <br />Refer to Page 3 of these minutes for further action. <br /> <br />Case 413: Request By Mr. Art Raudio For City Participation (Tax Increment <br />Revenues) In Flintwood Hills Second Addition: <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio was present and requested City participation in the form of tax <br />increment funds to assist in site improvements (raising project grade l' and <br />dewatering) for future phases of development of the Flintwood Hills Second <br />Addition P.U.D. The estimated cost of those site improvements is $105,000. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ippel and seconded by Commissioner Muller to recommend <br />City Council approval of Mr. Raudio's request for City participation in site <br />improvements to Flintwood Hills Second Addition P.U.D. contingent upon the City <br />Engineer verifying the cost estimates. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Ippel, Fults, <br />Muller, DeLuca, Wagner, Hardin and Kurak. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioner Vevea. <br /> <br />Case #1: Appearance By Mr~Brock Abrahamson Of Slide Shows. Inc. Reiardini <br />Promotional TaDe For Ramsev (Continued): <br /> <br />Mr. Abrahamson proceeded to show the video of Anoka. The video was produced <br />from slides; this process allows for two presentation packages -- slides and <br />video; this feature allows for a great deal of flexibility. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel stated that Ramsey should proceed to develop a video showing <br />residential, business/industrial, civic services and recreational features. <br />The video could also be used as a tool for improving local self image by <br />displaying it at local retail businesses and clubs. The video should show that <br />Ramsey can offer metro amenities with rural atmosphere. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that CDBG funds can be used to finance a city video project <br />and that the expenditure is low enough to not require going for bids. <br /> <br />Mr. Brock distributed copies of a cost estimate for a video.
