Economic and Finance Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that he did attend a meeting of the Ramsey Charter <br />Commission in which recent charter concerns brought to light were discussed; <br />the Charter Commission is reluctant to make any recommendations regarding <br />charter amendnents until after conducting a public information meeting <br />regarding same. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that he is hearing resident opinions that Ramsey has <br />two serious opposing factions -- Economic Developnent Commission and Charter <br />Commission. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cox explained that put of the reason for that impression is his <br />serving on EDC and Council, which according to Charter is not allCMed, but he <br />has certain items he would like to see get off the ground before resigning <br />from EDC, i.e., City brochure. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg suggested that EDC publish an article in each issue of the <br />Tri-City Navsletter regarding Ramsey EDC goals and expectations. The article <br />should also keep residents up to date regarding naY businesses and existing <br />business expansion and the benefits to the City as a whole coming from that <br />business. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Miller and seconded by Commissioner Cox appointing <br />Commissioners Fults, Hardin and Wagner to work with City Planner Anne Norris <br />to prepue Economic Developnent Commission articles for each issue of the Tri- <br />City Navsletter to promote better coImllunications between the CoImnission and <br />the residents of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
