Commissioner Fults also noted that the Governor of North <br />Dakota is working very aggressively to get Waltek to relocate in that State. <br />Conmissioner Fults stated that City Council has ra;{uested the Anoka County <br />Enviromnental Committee to research all the facts in this case and report to <br />Council on August 27, 1985. <br /> <br />Commission consensus is to ra;{uest that EOC be provided a cop.{ of the Anoka <br />County Enviromnental Committee's report regarding Waltek, Inc. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg authorized Commissioners Wagner, Fults and Vevea to meet <br />with Waltek regarding this issue and report back to the Commission. <br /> <br />Case #3: Discussion Regarding Membership In Anoka County Chamber Of <br />Conmerce And/Or Anoka Area Chamber Of Conmerce: <br /> <br />Commission consensus is to table this case in order to all~ more time to meet <br />with Anoka regarding a joint manlErship in the Anoka County OlamlEr of <br />Commerce. <br /> <br />Case #4: Update On Request From Mate Regarding Extension Of Sanitary <br />Sewer: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Council has not taken any action on the proposed Tax <br />Increment Plan; it is on the August 27 Council agenda. <br /> <br />Case #5: Discussion Regarding Request Fram Airport Commission Regarding <br />Feasibilit;y Of utilizing Tax Increment Financing For Upgrading <br />Airport: <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that if airport developnent is approved in Ramsey, <br />the City's share of the developnent costs would be approximately $536,000 over <br />a 10 year period. Chairman Greenberg stated that he feels very strongly that <br />the airport area should be included in the tax incranent district because the <br />tax increment funds derived fran incoming developnent in that district would <br />easily p:iy Ramsey's share of airport developnent costs. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that the Economic and Finance Subcomni ttee of this Commission <br />will be discussing this subject with Ms. Waelti on August 2l. <br /> <br />Case #6: Update On Tour Of Local Business: <br /> <br />Commissioner Vevea stated that work will begin on this proj ect and he will <br />report back to the Commission. <br /> <br />Case #7: Discussion Regarding Vacancies On Economic Developnent Commission: <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg called for a secret ballot vote regarding the two vacancies <br />on this Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Steve DeLuca - 4 <br />Mr. 'Ibm Kurak - 3 <br />Mr. Mike Geheren - 1 <br /> <br />August 14, 1985 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
