Discussion Regarding Request Frar Airport C'.oIn'rission Regarding <br />Feasibilit"3 Of Utilizing Tax IncreIl"ent Financing FOr Qpgrading <br />Of Aiqprt: <br /> <br />Ca'rrrissioner Hardin stated that Ms. Waelti has said that it is feasible to use <br />tax incrallent to develop the airport but the City would have to bond for the <br />dollars up front, which would be true for arw tax incrallent project1 <br />developrent Il"ust take place in that area in a relatively short all'ount of tiIl"e <br />in order for the City to recoup it's dollars. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel stated that the intent of the Airport Ca'rrrission, in their <br />recxmrendation that a tax incrallent project area be established consisting of <br />the industrial p:lrk and land that would be acquired for airport developrent, <br />was to insure that tax incrallent dollars frar that area would be available for <br />airport developrent should the airport beCOIl'e a Il"unicip:ll facility.
