<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />3) Public hearings and special City Council meeting minutes dated September 17, <br />1985. <br /> <br />4) Public hearing and regular City Council meeting minutes dated September 24, <br />1985. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Subcommittee Reports: <br /> <br />a) Legislative- <br /> <br />Commissioner Muller stated that there was not report at this time. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that Representative SChrieber has promised to meet <br />with Ramsey's EDC regarding taxation. <br /> <br />b) publicity- <br /> <br />Commissioner Hardin stated that the City brochure is complete except for the cover. <br /> <br />c) Economic and Finance - <br /> <br />Commissioner Hardin reported that selling of shares in the Economic Development <br />Company is underway; requested that all Commission members review the list of <br />potential buyers of stock to see that nobody was missed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that the Food 'n' Fuel building permit is being held <br />up by DNR requirements. <br /> <br />Case #2: Update on Request From Mate Regarding Extension Of Sanitary Sewer: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that the Economic and Finance subcommittee met with the City's <br />fiscal consultant. Block grant funds can be used for lateral sanitary sewer <br />lines; trunk lines would have to be built with bond money. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that the City Engineer might look into planning the <br />system with more laterals and less trunk. <br /> <br />Case #3: Discus~ionRegardingPublicAwarenessOfMPCARegulations Regarding <br />. The . Disposal.. Of . Hazardous wastes : <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that he and Commissioner Wagner initiated County <br />Commissioner and County Attorney attention to Waltek's problem; Fults and Wagner <br />were not notified of subsequent meetings. on this issue. <br /> <br />The Commis.sion proceeded to discuss possible ways of keeping businesses up to date <br />on MPCA regulations. <br /> <br />Commission consensus is that the Legislative Subcommittee pursue Council's <br />directive to research MPCA laws and determine an effective way to inform <br />Ramsey's businesses of those laws. <br /> <br />October 9, 1985 <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
