<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Case #4: Discussion Regarding Vacancy On Commission: <br /> <br />Commission consensus is to accept the resignation of Mr. Bill Miller from the <br />Economic Development Commission and direct City Staff to proceed to advertise <br />to fill the position. <br /> <br />Case #5: Discussion Regarding Possibility Of Assessing Improvements To Land <br />Surrounding Landfill: <br /> <br />Commissioner Kurak stated that the landfill buffer area is dead land which the <br />City cannot collect taxes oni Bob Hutchison of the County office is in favor <br />of improvements to that area. Commissioner Kurak stated that commercial and <br />industrial buildings can be placed in that buffer zone as long as they do not <br />detract from the viability of Site P. Commissioner Kurak stated that he feels <br />it would be a good idea for Ramsey to pursue developing this area. <br /> <br />Connnissioner Kurak volunteered to invite Mr. Hutchison to a meeting of the EDC <br />in order to gain more information on developing the landfill buffer area. <br /> <br />Case #6: Discussion Regarding Appointment Of New Commission Members To Commission <br />Subcommittees: <br /> <br />Commission consensus is that the subcommittees will be established as follows: <br /> <br />Legislative - Mr. Bob Muller <br />Mr. Tom Kurak <br />Mr. Bernie Vevea <br />Mr. Steve DeLuca <br /> <br />Economic and Finance - <br />Mr. Glen Hardin <br />Mr . Ken Wagner <br />Mr. Darryl Fults <br />Mr. Don Greenberg <br /> <br />Case #7: Discussion Regarding Possib.le'PlanSForAServiceRoadAlong Highway 10: <br /> <br />Commissioner Kurak stated that he talks to people that would like to develop on <br />Highway 10 but it is not easy because of access restrictions. would like to see <br />a platted street rathern than a proposed service road. <br /> <br />Commission noted receiving letter from Mark E.Frandsen requesting that the <br />service road between Sunfish Lake Blvd. and Industrial Blvd. be platted on the <br />north side of the railroad tracks. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that it is impossible to get access across railroad <br />tracks. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that there are lots of transportation problems facing <br />Ramsey: Hwy. 47 and County Road #5 funneling into the City, service road along <br />Hwy.#lO, an additional river crossing, an overpass at Thurston Avenue. <br /> <br />octobe'J; 9, 1985 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
