The three <br />25 positions paid for from this. <br />26 appropriation are in the unclassified. <br />27 service. <br /> <br />28 (9) Collection and Incineration Study <br /> <br />29 The director of the pollution control <br />30 agency shall make a study, report, and <br />31 recommendations of the following: (1) <br />32 the number and geographical <br />33 distribution of waste tires generated <br />34 and existing tire dumps and collection <br />35 sites; (2) financial responsibility <br />36 requirements needed to cover tire <br />37 collectors and processors; (3) the <br />38 optimum location of collection sites to <br />39 facilitate tire processing; (4) <br />40 alternative methods to collect waste <br />41 tires in small tire dUmps and to <br />42 collect tires from waste tire <br />43 generators, including costs; (5) the <br />44 options for waste tire recycling, their <br />45 current use, and the feasibility of <br />46 future use; (6) methods to establish <br />47 reliable sources of waste tires for <br />48 waste tire users; (7) the types of <br />49 facilities in Minnesota that can <br />50 utilize waste tires as a fuel source, <br />51 the cost of equipment needed to modify <br />52 existing types of facilities, the cost <br />53 of test burns, the feasibility of <br />54 operating each type of facility <br />55 utilizing waste tires as a fuel SOurce, <br />56 and the location of those facilities; <br />57 and .(8) the establishment of a <br />58 statewide waste tire collection system. <br /> <br />59 The director of the agency shall submit <br />~O ahinterim report to the legislature <br />61 and the governor by December 31, 1984, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />117,800 <br /> <br />117,000 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />100,000 <br />
