<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />prevents penalty for half truths. <br /> <br />Anne Norris stated that now is the time to get active in regards to <br />anything this Commission wants the upcoming legislative session to address. <br /> <br />Commission consensus is that the issue of property tax is a top priority <br />item and the greatest deterrent to economic development. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that the City did succeed in getting local government <br />aids amended but there is still the matter of the grandfather clause that <br />must be corrected in order to provide fair distribution of the revenues <br />among the cities. <br /> <br />Commissioner Muller stated that he would try and set up a meeting with the <br />Commission and State legislators for the purpose of discussing these <br />concerns. <br /> <br />Oammissioner Fults stated that he has talked with Oak dale Economic <br />Development Commission and they are willing to join forces with Ramsey <br />regarding fiscal disparity efforts. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cox arrived at this time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cox stated that he attended 11-13-84 Council meeting and City <br />Assessor Wirz reported that Ramsey is, in comparison to the rest of the <br />County, down about 8.5% in assessed commercial property value. <br />Commissioner Cox stated that Ramsey should be behind because we are on the <br />outer perimeter of the real marketing area; our commercial property values <br />should be compared to areas similar to ours.
