<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />mrE CITY COONCIL MEErr'I~ MINUTES <br />The Commission noted the following: <br />1) Special City Council meeting minutes dated March 3, 1987. <br />2) Special City Council public hearing and meeting minutes dated March 10, <br />1987 . <br /> <br />3) Special City Council and Park and Recreation Conunission meeting minutes <br />dated March 12, 1987. <br /> <br />4) City Council public hearing minutes dated March 17, 1987. <br /> <br />5) Regular City Council meeting minutes dated March 24, 1987. <br /> <br />CoImIlissioner Hardin inquired as to the status of the 1andf ill proposal as <br />it relates to vertical expansion and developnent of a ski hill. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris replied that Council requested staff to review the proposal; <br />that report was presented to Council on March 24; Council tabled action <br />until March 31. Ms. Norris did not know the status of the proposal as of <br />March 31. <br /> <br />Connnissioner Hardin requested that Ms. Norris research the status of the <br />landfill proposal and il'XIuired as to the status of proposed storm sewer <br />improvements. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka replied that City Council conducted a public hearing <br />regarding the proposed storm sewer improvements on March 10; City Council <br />ordered plans and requested staff to pursue MN DoT cooperative funding for <br />the improvements. Mr. Raatikka stated that there is no 60 day waiting <br />period following the public hearing as the improvements would be financed <br />according to Chapter 444 and not with assessments. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #3: Discussion Re9arding Extension Of utilities To Commercial/ <br />Industrial Area: <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that he met with Commissioner Fults and City <br />Engineer Raatika on April 6 to discuss the alignment of the trunk sewer <br />line. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults noted that he had talked with Mr. Spone and Mr. Eggam <br />regarding installing the trunk along the MSA street alignment rather than <br />along the railroad tracks. Commissioner Fults noted that installation of <br />trunk lines along the railroad tracks would result in loss of tress in the <br />buffer area. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka noted that he talked with the City of Anoka and Grady Boeck <br />representing the Seed estate; Anoka is amenable to extending the road as <br />EOC/April 8, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />
