<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Case 11: Subcommittee Reports (Continued): <br /> <br />b) Economic and Finance Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Hardin reported that the Economic Development Company's <br />revolving loan to G.O. Racing has been completed. <br /> <br />c) Publicity Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel reported that the Ramsey video is finished and in final <br />format. Commissioner Ippel stated that the EDC Business Scene article in <br />the October Ramsey Resident will feature recent new businesses and <br />residential growth. <br /> <br />Case 15: Discussion Reiarding Recommenda~ion To Purchase Video <br />EquiDment: <br /> <br />Commissioner Muller dismissed himself from the meeting at this time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel stated th?t the Ramsey video is complete and stated <br />there should be a sufficient number of copies made to accomodate any needs <br />the public, local organizations and developers might have to display it. <br />There are two options: 1) buy tape and make copies; 2) order quality <br />reproductions from Slide Shows, Inc. at a cost of $12 each. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ippel and seconded by Commissioner Hardin to <br />authorize ordering 20 copies of the Ramsey video from Slide Shows) Inc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg) Commissioners Fults, <br />Wagner, Ippel, Hardin and Gorecki. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioners Vevea, Kurak and Muller. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel stated that it would be nice for the Economic <br />Development Commission/Company to have a portable video player to take <br />Ramsey's 'show on the road'. Commissioner Ippel stated that he has <br />obtained discounted price quotes for 12 inch screen units from the area's <br />largest supplier of video equipment: one unit is a player only for $882 <br />and another unit is a player/recorder for $1523. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ippel and seconded by Commissioner Hardin to <br />authorize the acquisition of a video player to be used by the City, <br />Economic Development Commission and Economic Development Company for <br />purposes of displaying the Ramsey video. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Hardin inquired if a 12 inch screen is <br />sufficient and if any other price quotes were obtained. Commissioner Ippel <br />stated that he believes a 12 inch screen is the largest in a portable <br />model and he does not know of any other suppliers of this type of <br />equipment. Chairman Greenberg inquired as to how the equipment will be <br />funded. Ms. Norris stated that the funds could be taken from the $50,000 <br />Council allocated for economic development activities.
