Regular City Council meeting minutes dated October 27, 1987.

Chairman Greenberg inquired as to the status of the sewer and water project
south of Hwy. #10.

Ms. Norris stated that Council has decided not to proceed with the project
at this time due to the cost of acquisition of easements and other
considerations. The City Engineer has been instructed to revise the
project plans to align the improvements in the Hwy. #10 right-of-way. Ms.
Norris noted that without the extension of Front Street, tax increment
cannot be captured and that changes tax increment revenue projections
significantly.

A lengthy discussion ensued regarding the process used by the City in
approaching landowners for easements and the value of having this sewer and
water project aligned in the Front Street extension.

.

Motion by Commissioner Hardin and seconded by Commissioner Kurak directing
that the Economic Development Commission Frontage Road Subcommittee offer
their assistance to City Staff in obtaining easements for sewer and water
improvements south of Hwy #10.

Motion carried.
