The audio portion of that section outlining Muller's development <br />will be retaped so that Muller's name is pronounced properly, the <br />reference to a Ben Franklin is deleted and reference to a branch <br />of the Anoka County Library is included. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the life of the videotape and determined that only <br />the above corrections would be made at this time. The Commission noted <br />that for a future tape, references to the Elk River School District, Anoka <br />County Fair, etc. would be included. <br /> <br />Mr. Abrahamson commented that he estimated that the changes could be made <br />for under $500. <br /> <br />Case #2: Interview Yvonne Curran and Discuss Star City Work Pro~ram: <br /> <br />Ms. Curran was present and outlined her education; a Bachelors' degree in <br />Business from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater, her experience <br />as purchasing agent for three firms, and volunteer work in Texas assisting <br />with Welcome Wagon activities and assisting in organizing a downtown <br />business exposition and assisting with the Discover Ramsey Business Expo. <br />Chairman Greenberg noted that Ms. Curran would complete Star City tasks <br />under the direction and supervision of City staff and the Star City Work <br />Program Committee. Mr. Greenberg also requested that Ms. Curran be present <br />at the monthly EDC meetings to give progress reports on the Star City <br />tasks. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wagner and seconded by Commissioner Gorecki to <br />recommend that the City Council authorize the hiring of Yvonne Curran to <br />a temporary position at the rate of $7.25 per hour. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: The Commission added to the recommendation that Ms. <br />Curran will work 10 hours per week at completing the outstanding Star City <br />tasks for not more than six months. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Hardin, <br />Gorecki, Wagner, Muller, Kurak and Vevea. Voting no: None. Absent: <br />Commissioners Fults and Ippel. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg reviewed the Star City Work Program Committee's proposed <br />Star City work plan and schedule. Chairman Greenberg noted that the Star <br />City Publicity and Planning Committees would be advisory to the Work <br />Program Committee and that the Work Program Committee felt that the Star <br />City Sites, Building and Labor Committee should be abolished as the Work <br />Program Committee and intern would complete those tasks. Chairman Greenberg <br />also noted that the completion dates for the tasks should be June 1, 1988. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hardin and seconded by Commissioner Muller to adopt <br />the Star City Work Program as proposed by the Star City Work Program <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners <br />Hardin, Kurak, Muller, Vevea and Wagner.
