<br />CASE 14: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />INFORMATION ITEMS <br />By: Camnunity Deve10pnent Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />1. en March 24, 1987 the City Council took the following action: <br /> <br />a) Reappointed Tom Kurak, Bernie Vevea and Ken Wagner to the EDC to <br />terms expiring January 31, 1990. <br /> <br />b) Adopted a resolution establishing May 12, 1987 for a public hearing <br />to consider establishing development and tax increment financing <br />districts as requested by Mr. Robert Muller. <br /> <br />c) Approved a conditional use permit for Mr. Charles Christian to <br />store vehicles and operate a vehicle sales business at 9457 Hwy. <br />110. <br /> <br />d) Approved a conditional use permit requested by Mr. Richard Duggan <br />to manufacture steel horseshoes at 6250 Front Street N.W. <br /> <br />e) Adopted a resolution requesting MN OOT to consider including Ramsey <br />on driver destination signs in adjacent cormnunities. <br /> <br />f) Approved hiring Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc. to canplete a study <br />of the Hwy. #10 corridor. The cost of the study is not to exceed <br />$25,000.00. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />g) Approved a resolution designating the City's allocation of 1987 <br />CDBG funds for economic development activities. <br /> <br />h) Scheduled a joint meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />for April 14, 1987 at 8:00 p.m. Items to be discussed at this <br />meeting include development controls, access requirements for <br />proposed subdivisions, etc. <br /> <br />2. For your information, enclosed are the following items: <br /> <br />a) Letter dated March 18, 1987 to Representative Darby Nelson from <br />Chairman Greenberg. <br /> <br />b) Letter dated March 18, 1987 to Representative Ernest Larsen from <br />Chairman Greenberg. <br /> <br />c) April 1987 Anoka County Chamber of Conunerce newsletter. <br /> <br />3. On April 7, 1987, the Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a <br />public hearing on the following amendnents to the zoning chapter of the <br />City Code: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />a. eliminating fencing requirement for drainage ponds; <br />b. requiring blacktop or concrete for off-street parking; <br />c. requiring certified site plans for all corranercial and <br />industrial proposals. <br /> <br />In addition, the Commission will discuss frost footing requirements for <br />commercial and industrial structures and will review the site plan <br />review process. <br /> <br />4- <br />
