RAMSEY YOUTH ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING When: January 22, 1990 Where: Teen Center Central Park Time: 7:30 This organization needs you and your ideas. Please feel free to join our meeting and let yur opi- nion be heard. This meeting will be election of officers for the 1990 years. Anyone not having notified us and will- ing to be Secretary, Athletic Director, or Director of Girls Jr. High Softball or Boys 3-6 Baseball please give Beverly Swanson a call at 753-4307. The next meeting is February 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Central Park Teen Center. Look forward to seeing a lot of new faces. LOOKING FOR A SAFE SLIDING AREA? Parents looking for a safe place for the family to go sliding may want to consider Ramsey Elemen- tary School at 15000 Nowthen Blvd. NW. The hill is considerably smaller than the Swiss Alps, but it has no obstructions and there is playground equip- ment nearby providing additional fun-time activities on the site. HAVE FUN AND SAFE SLIDING. SKATING RINK HOURS The warming house hours at Central Park (Arm- strong Blvd. and 161st Avenue) and Ramsey Elementary School (15000 Nowthen Blvd. NW.) are as follows: Weekdays 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (10:00 p.m. if needed) Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sundays 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. RINK WILL BE CLOSED IF: 1 . Temperatures are 10 degrees belo"'J or more and expected to remain that way. 2. Rinks are in unsafe condition due to warm weather. 3. Attendant may close if weather conditons are, and expected to remain extreme. 4. Temperatures are 32 degrees or above. RINK RESERVATION: Residents wishing to reserve a rink for special skating parties may do so by calling Utilities/Park Coordinator Mark Boos at 427-4180 or 427-1741. AHA Hockey Teams must also call Utilities/Park Coordinator Mark Boos to reserve rinks for hockey practices. No more than 1-1/2 hours per practice may be scheduled and no more than 3 practices may be scheduled in advance. RAMSEY SCHOOL PT A LABEL DRIVE The Ramsey School PT A is currently conducting a label collection drive to earn free educational equipment for the school. As part of a program call- ed Labels For Education, the Campbell Soup Com- pany is offering free equipment to schools in ex- change for labels from the company's products. The PTA is hoping to collect 10,000 labels to earn books for the media center. If you would like to help with this project, please save your Campbell's labels and give them to a Ramsey Elementary School student or simply drop them off at the school. Thank you.
