Ramsey Recycling

NEEDS YOUR HELP!

The City needs to recycle over 301 tons of material for 1990
to receive the maximum number of dollars available to Ramsey
from Anoka County for landfill abatement programs. To aid
in reaching this goal, the City is requesting that every time
you take your recyclables to a redemption center, you send
the City a copy of the receipt indicating the weight of materials
recycled. The receipts may be from any time during 1990. The
weights recorded on the receipts will then be added to the
City's current recycling report to be filed with Anoka County.

With your help, Ramsey can exceed its total annual recycling
goal before the end of the first reporting period and receive
special recognition from Anoka County.

Please send the receipts to:
Ramsey Recycles
Ramsey Municipal Center
15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.
Ramsey, MN 55303

RECYCLING CENTERS
The residents of Ramsey have the following Recycling Centers
available for their use:

Regional Landfill Recycling Center
14730 Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W.
Ramsey, MN
421-0540
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 1 :00 p.m.
Accepting: Aluminum, Glass, Tin, Newsprint, (Tires &
Appliances for a fee)

Boys Scouts Drop-off
Ramsey Plaza Shopping Center
167th Avenue N.W. & Highway #47
Ramsey, MN
Hours: Available 24 Hours a day
Accepting: Newsprint

Peterson Brothers Sanitation
740 Industry Avenue N.W.
Anoka, MN
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Accepting: Aluminum, Glass, Tin, Scrap Iron, Newsprint

Anoka Senior High Band
Anoka County Fairgrounds
Anoka, MN
Hours: Available 24 Hours a day
c..ccepting: Newsprint

Grosslein Beverages
13554 Tungsten Street NW.
Ramsey, MN
Hours: Thursday 1 :00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Accepting: Aluminum Cans

Schwartzman and Sons
2905 N. Unfortunately, we have
fallen behind schedule because of some unforeseen obstacles.
On the bright side, we have managed to chip 512 cubic yards
of brush. The brush is available for pick up at Central Park
anytime during the day. If you need more than what is
available, please be patient because we will be chipping more.

We ask that you do not drop off anymore brush at Central Park,
City Hall or any other designated or non-designated sites.
This only slows the process of chipping brush. To speed the
process of Chipping we also ask you to make sure that your
brush is visible to the chipping crews. Also make sure that the
brush is accessible to the truck.

These favors we ask will help us get on schedule and provide
you the service that we promised. If you have any questions
or problems please feel free to contact Mike Marquart,
Community Development Intern, at Ramsey Municipal Center,
427-1410.

PROGRAM 1 Tuesday, July 31,1990,7:00 - 9:00 p.m., City
of Ramsey, Ramsey City Hall, 15153 NW Nowthen Blvd.,
Ramsey, MN, NO CHARGE.

PROGRAM 2 Thursday, August 2, 1990,7:00 - 8:30 p.m.,
Bunker Hills Activity Center, Bunker Hills Park, 550 Bunker
Lake Blvd., Anoka, MN, NO CHARGE.

PROGRAM 3 Monday, August 20,1990,7:00 -8:30 p.m., Oak
Grove Township, Oak Grove City Hall, 19900 Nightingale St.
NW, Cedar, MN, NO CHARGE.

RAMSEY'S RECYCLING SUCCESS IN 1990

GROUP MATERIAL WEIGHT DATE TONS
BOY SCOUT TROOP #362 NEWSPAPER 18,000 LBS 2-Jan-90 9.00 TONS
BOY SCOUT TROOP #362 NEWSPAPER 20,000 LBS 28- Feb-90 10.00 TONS
BOY SCOUT TROOP #362 NEWSPAPER 24,000 LBS 11-Apr-90 12.00 TONS
BOY SCOUT TROOP #362 NEWSPAPER 22,000 LBS 31-May-90 11.00 TONS
ALL BRITE GRAPHICS PAPER 3.825 30-Jun-90 22.95 TONS
CITY GARAGE DROP-OFF OIL 4,000 LBS 1-Apr-90 2.00 TONS
RAMSEY SCHOOL ALUMINIUM 1,210 LBS 1- Feb-90 0.61 TONS
RAMSEY SCHOOL STEEL 66 LBS 1- Feb-90 0.03 TONS
RAMSEY SCHOOL BAGS 23 LBS 1-Feb-90 0.01 TONS
RAMSEY SCHOOL ALUMINIUM 886 LBS 25-May-90 0.44 TON S
RAMSEY SCHOOL STEEL 18 LBS 25-Mav-90 0.01 TONS
RAMSEY SCHOOL BAGS 22 LBS 25-Mav-90 0.01 TONS
LANDFILL DROP-OFF GLASS 8,980 LBS 31-Mar-90 4.49 TONS
LANDFILL DROP-OFF APPLIANCES 8,000 LBS 30-Apr-90 4.00 TONS
LANDFILL DROP-OFF NEWSPAPER 14,580 LBS 30-Apr-90 7.29 TONS
LANDFILL DROP-OFF APPLIANCES 10,000 LBS 30-Jun-90 5.00 TONS
LANDFILL DROP-OFF METAL 4,240 LBS 31-J an-90 2.12TONS
LANDFILL DROP-OFF METAL 51,100 LBS 28-Feb-90 25.55 TONS
LANDFILL DROP-OFF METAL 21,100 LBS 30-Apr-90 10.55 TONS
LANDFILL DROP-OFF METAL 44,500 LBS 31-May-90 22.25 TONS
LANDFILL DROP-OFF METAL 27,800 LBS 30-Jun-90 13.90 TONS
CITY HALL DROP-OFF OFFICE PAPER 940 LBS 20-Mar-90 0.47 TONS
CITY HALL DROP-OFF OFFICE PAPER 958 LBS 31-May-90 0.48 TONS
CURBSIDE RECYCUNG ALUMINUM 501 LBS YTO 1990 0.25 TONS
CURBSIDE RECYCUNG METAL 1,253 LBS YTO 1990 0.63 TONS
CURBSIDE RECYCUNG GLASS 4,761 LBS YTO 1990 2.38 TONS
CURBSIDE RECYCUNG NEWSPAPER 18,544 LBS YTO 1 990 9.27 TONS
CLEAN-UP DAY METAL 23,080 LBS 5-Mav-90 11.54 TONS
CLEAN-UP DAY APPLIANCES 40,750 LBS 5-May-90 20.38 TONS
CLEAN-UP DAY BATTERIES 7,640 LBS 5-May-90 3.82 TONS
CLEAN-UP DAY ALUMINIUM 140 LBS 5-May-90 0.07 TONS
CLEAN-UP DAY TIRES 16,600 LBS 5-May-90 8.30 TONS
GROSSLEINS DROP-OFF ALUMINIUM 130 LBS 31-Mar-90 0.07 TONS
CLEAN-UP DAY PICKUPS APPLIANCES 6,600 LBS 28-Apr-90 3.30 TONS
CLEAN-UP DAY PICKUPS BATTERIES 720 LBS 28-Apr-90 0.36 TONS
CLEAN-UP DAY PICKUPS TIRES 3,460 LBS 28-Apr-90 1.73 TONS
BRUSH CHIPPING 195 CB YOS 97,500 LBS 23-Jun-90 48.75 TONS
BRUSH CHIPPING 317 CB YOS 158,500 LBS 9-Jul-90 79.25 TONS
TOTAL INCLUDING TIRES 354.25 TONS
TOTAL WITHOUT TIRES 344.22 TONS

GLASS RECYCLING MADE EASY

ACCEPTABLE

Glass food and beverage containers can be easily recycled
by glass container plants.
