"Understanding my family"

What was my family like when I was growing up?
Certainly your family has influenced you in many ac-
tions and decisions you have made. On Sunday,
Nov. 8th, Steve and Anne Gresham, counselor at
Cross of Hope, will give a presentation during the
10:45 worship hour concerning the family system
which we were part of as a child. What part of those
family characteristics are helpful for your present
relationship? Which ones need to be changed to sur-
vive in a relationship?
The public is welcome to attend Cross of Hope for
this most helpful session in understanding our past
families and the control and influence which they still
have on people through adult life.

Fall Festival

A fall festival at Cross of Hope will feature polka
worship at the 9:00 and 10:45 service on Sunday,
November 15th. At noon, a spaghetti dinner will be
served (12:00 - 1 :30).
The public is welcome.
Also, included in the day, at 2:30, will be a ses-
sion for all 7th, 8th, and 9th graders and parents,
presented by Anne Gresham on "Sexuality - getting
the facts and values." Everyone is welcome.
example of the facilities available to the public via
Neighborhood Community Television.
RAMSEY SENIOR
CITIZENS

After having had two months of doing 'something
different' (attending the Anoka County Fair on
Seniors Day in August and having a social luncheon
at On The Green in September), the Ramsey Seniors
met at their regular meeting place in October.
Twenty-one members and guests met October 7 for
a pot luck dinner in the Senior Citizens room at
Ramsey City Hall.
Peggy Loken, a representative of the Ramsey
School, spoke to the seniors about the "Grand-
parents Program" at the school and the ways in
which seniors may be of assistance. Mark Kinney
of the Anoka Health and Life Services described
their long term care policy for persons who may need
nursing home care over an extended period. Last-
ly, a representative of Sunshine Travel showed
slides of two trips which were beautiful and temp-
ting -- one was a 3 day jaunt called 'A Scandinavian
Christmas Holiday' and the other an 11 day trip to
the Texas Riviera.
The senior's next meeting will be on November
4th at Ramsey City Hall with a pot luck dinner at
12:00 noon. Come and join us for a couple of hours
of socializing with your neighbors.
If you are interested in joing the Ramsey Seniors
or would like more information, call Dorothy Scrog-
gins at 421-4414.
