NO FOOTBALL ?????1???

As I am writing this article the probability of a 4-7
grade football program looks bleak.
We have NO director to organize this program. As
a football Mom for the last 3 years I'd hate to see
this program fold. Last year there were 4 teams in
the 4-6th grade level. With the parent support that
I witnessed, I can't believe there is not 1 person not
willing to take on the Directors position.
We will have registration on Aug. 27th from
6:30-8:00 p.m. at Ramsey City Hall. This will be done
with hopes that a director will be found.
If you have any questions please feel free to call
me.
dedicated their time and energy in coaching this
year. MANY, MANY THANKS!!
We would also like to thank the following people
WHO ARE THE LIONS

They are volunteer members of a club grouped
under an international organization, where they en-
joy fellowship, and dedicate part of their free time
to help those in need all over the world, while mak-
ing their individual communities a better place to live
in.
The official name of "Lions" is "The International
Association of Lions Clubs" or simply "Lions Clubs
International.' ,
Although the youngest, The International Associa-
tion of Lions Clubs has grown to be the largest ser-
vice club organization in the world, represented by
over 37,000 clubs with a membership exceeding
1,345,000 in over 160 countries and geographic
areas.
A Lion joining a club for the first time pays an en-
trance fee to the Association. The annual dues to
the International Association, the District, and the
home club constitute the financial commitment other
than the meeting costs.
Club meetings are held at least twice monthly.
One meeting may be devoted to business and the
planning of projects while the other meeting often
has a guest speaker.
All monies for a Lions Club activity are raised by
the efforts of the members through whatever legal
fund-raising projects they may devise.
Any person of good moral character and good
reputation in the community may be granted
membership in a Lions Club. Membership is by in-
vitation only. Anyone interested in more information
or would like membership information please call
Lion Ole Olson at 427-3169 or Lion Jerry Hamlet at
441-1 630.
