LTR has submitted
an application for a conditional use permit to allow them to import soils into the development
site as part of the grading plan approved at the preliminary plat stage. They plan on importing
approximately 30,000 cubic yards into the site. The proposed haul route for the material will be
Highway #10 to Sunfish Lake Boulevard to Sunwood Drive into the site. The applicant is
anticipating starting about May 15, 2003 (pending the necessary approvals for the development)
and expects to be completed after 60 construction days. At their April 3, 2003 meeting, the
Planning Commission recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit to import soils as
part of the Village of Sunfish lake Development.

Councilmember Zimmerman inquired as to how many truckloads will be needed to haul 30,000
cubic yards.

City Engineer Jankowski replied that there would be approximately 1,700 truckloads with 18
yards per truck.

Mayor Gamec inquired if there will be signs placed along Sunfish Lake Boulevard identifying
that trucks are hauling along Sunfish Lake Boulevard, because the traffic travels at a high rate of
speed and the trucks will be moving quite slowly.

City Council/April 22, 2003
