The library has a <br />coin-operated Apple II Plus <br />personal computer with dual <br />disc drive, screen display and <br />printer available to the public. <br /> <br />The possibilities are almost - <br />endless as to what you can <br />learn and do with a computer. <br />It is available for use during <br />regular library hours. Disket- <br />tes are on sale at the Informa- <br />tion Desk in the library for $1 if <br />you need one, and 50~ will buy <br />you 15 minutes of time on the <br />computer. For more informa- <br />tion, call 421-5800 or come in <br />to the library and have a look. <br />Library accepts gifts and <br />memorials - The Anoka Public <br />Library has accepted gifts and <br />memorials for many years and <br />will continue to do so in the <br />future. All gifts given in honor <br />of someone or as a memorial, <br />have bookplates designating <br />who it was given for and by <br />whom, individually or as a <br />group. If you would like to give <br />a gift in honor of someone or <br /> <br />Century Farms <br /> <br />The Anoka County Histori- <br />cal Society is once again seek- <br />ing owners of farms in Anoka <br />County that have been in the <br />same family bloodline for a <br />century or more. <br />- ~ <br />The purpose is to identify <br />and honor in some small way <br />those families whose hard <br />work and persistence have.re- <br />suited in the stability of own- <br />ership of the farm which has <br />remained in the family for <br />such a long period of time. <br /> <br />--- - <br /> <br /> <br />Spe'cial recognition will be <br />given to these families during <br />the Anoka County Fair in <br />August. The program pro- <br />vides all of the free services of <br /> <br />the library to the client free of <br />any charge. We have books, re- <br />cordings, periodicals and art <br />work that you can have <br />brought to your home by a vol- <br />unteer. She <br />has served as alto section <br />leader for the Concert Choir, <br />has been a leader in the <br />Madrigal Singers and script <br />writer for the Madrigal Dinner <br />for the past two years.
